Production notes:
Performed maybe between 1550 and 1552. “A fragment corresponding to the 264 lines of Plutus was first included in the complete work of Pierre Ronsard in the 1617 edition. Because of this late publication, it is difficult to date, and the rest of the play, if it was ever written, has not survived. It is surmised that Ronsard was giving the task of imitating Plutus by Daurat, his Greek master and fellow member at the Pléiade” (C. Dudouyt (2016) "Le Loyers La Néphélococugie 1579 and Racines Les Plaideurs 1668", in P. Walsh, Brill’s Companion to the Reception of Aristophanes, 181.).
