This opera was commissioned for performance in a double bill with Purcell's Dido and Aeneas and thus the performance is by a baroque orchestra (though the style of composition is not baroque). On 16 September 2007 the German première of Sasha Waltz's 'Choreographische Oper', which employed Dusapin's Medeamaterial, took place at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden, Berlin (ID 10159).
