This production was based on a reworked version of Domenico Lalli's libretto Edippo, which was written for the Bavarian court in Munich and first produced there with music by Pietro Torri in 1729 (Production ID 10749). The name of the composer(s) for the production at Teatro San Samuele is not known. Dramatis personae: Giocasta, Ismene, Edippo, Filoteto, Meneceo, Sorete, Corifo. The production took place in the carnival season of 1723 (between Christmas and Lent).
