Libretto: an adaptation of Gaetano Roccaforte's 'Antigona' (Sartori ID 2070): 'Antigona. Dramma per musica da rappresentarsi nel nobilissimo Teatro di San Benedetto per la fiera dell'Ascensione dell'anno 1776 (Venice: Modesto Fenzo, 1776). During the intervals of the opera an independent ballet by Giuseppe Canzani was introduced: "ballo tragico" titled Linceo. Another production of this opera in Mortellari's lifetime took place in Verona 1777 (Sartori ID 2094).
