Libretto: an adaptation of Marco Coltellini's 'Antigona' (Sartori ID 2089): 'Antigona. Tragedia per musica da rappresentarsi nel Real Teatro di S. Carlo nel dì 4 di novembre 1791 per festeggiarsi il glorioso nome di sua maestà la regina. Dedicato alla real maestà di Ferdinando IV nostro amabilissimo sovrano' (Naples: Vincenzo Flauto, 1791). This production was based on an adaptation of Marco Coltellini's libretto which had been first set by Tomasso Traetta for St Petersburg in 1772 (see Sartori ID 2089). The intervals of this opera production featured two indepentent ballets: Il trionfo di Tamerlano o sia La morte di Bajazette and Il vecchio burlato.
