Suetonius (Caligula 57.4) claims that on the eve of Caligula’s assassination the pantomime, Mnester, ‘danced the same tragedy’ that was performed by Neoptolemos before the death of Philip. Josephus identifies the story as that of Cinyras but does not name the dancer. See M.-H.
