We do not know when this play was first produced. The date range given here is based on Sophocles' first competition (Mar. Par) and his last (Life of Euripides 2). It is assumed here that the play would have been performed in Athens. It has been suggested that this play is the same as: The Satyrs at Taenarum, or the Infant Heracles, or Cerberus.
