Production notes:
It is not known when this play was produced. The date range for performance given here is between the year of his first competition (acc. to Suda) and his death (Marm. Par.). It is assumed that this play would have been produced in Athens. It may have been performed as the satyr play after Ghost-raisers (Psychagogoi), Penelope, and Bone-gatherers. Another possible grouping of plays before it is Women of Salamis, Bone-Gatherers (=Penelope) and Ghost-Raisers.
