APGRD Notes
An inscription from Delos records that several actors, including the comic actor Diodorus of Athens, ‘performed for the god’, that is gave free performances. We do not know the names of any of the comedies performed. It has been suggested that Diodorus the actor may be the same individual as the comic poet and also that ‘Diodorus of Athens’ and ‘Diodorus of Sinope’ may be one and the same. For the comic actor, see Stephanis, no. 694.
