Philippides’ play won first prize for comedy, the actor was Asclepiodorus. The other new comedies were a play by Nicostratus, Aminias’ Apoleipousa (The Runaway Wife), the Pankratiastes probably by Theophilus and a play called Paidion (The Baby) by an unknown author. A revival of Anaxandrides’ Thesauros was also performed. For the actor, see I.E. Stephanis, Dionysiakoi Technitai: Symboles stên prosôpographia tou theatrou kai tês mousikês tôn archaiôn Hellênôn (Heraklion: University of Crete, 1988), no. 458, and P.
