An inscription from the Didascalic monument records that Simylus won first prize, the actor was Aristomachus. Diodorus came second with Nekros (The Corpse) and third with Mainomenos (The Madman); Phoenicides came fourth with The Poet. For actor, see P. Ghiron-Bistagne, Recherches sur les acteurs dans la Grèce antique (Paris : Les Belles Lettres, 1976), p. 32 and I.E. Stephanis, Dionysiakoi Technitai: Symboles stên prosôpographia tou theatrou kai tês mousikês tôn archaiôn Hellênôn (Heraklion: University of Crete, 1988), no. 355.
