This is a sequel to the Euripidean version. La délivrance de Thésée is the third part of a trilogy of one-act operas to Henri Hoppenot librettos. L’enlèvement d’Europe premièred in Baden-Baden, July 1927; L’abandon d’Ariane in Wiesbaden, April 1928; and La délivrance de Thésée in Wiesbaden, April 1928. The total duration of the three operas is 27 minutes.
