Los Siete Contra Tebas is an adaptation of Aeschylus’ Seven against Thebes by the Cuban playwright Antón Arrufat. Written in 1968, Arrufat's play was awarded the Casa de las Americas Drama prize; but, although published, the play was then ignored. Antón Arrufat’s play has now been republished after the Cuban government awarded him the National Literary Prize (2001).
