Aeschylus' Bacchae is only known to u from the medieval catalogue and a single citation in Stobaeus (1,3,26. 27). It is not known when this play might have been produced. The date range for performance is between the year of his first competition (acc. to Suda) and his death (Marm. Par.). It is assumed that this play would have been produced in Athens.
