We were delighted to welcome movement director, choreographer and director, Struan Leslie as an APGRD/DANSOX Artist in Residence from 3 to 7 November 2014.
Struan gave two workshops during the course of his residency, one for the Oxford University Classical Drama Society (OUCDS) and one for Oxford University Drama Society (OUDS).
Struan has worked with the APGRD over many years, having previously conducted workshops under the Onassis Programme (2005-2011) and having contributed a chapter on his work with choruses for the APGRD volume, The Ancient Dancer in the Modern World (2010).
He was Head of Movement at The Royal Shakespeare Company for five years until 2013. While at the RSC he was movement director on 12 productions and supported the movement on all other shows, some seventy-five, directed two productions and contributed to all areas of the company's work in education and outreach during that time.
