Playwright, Shomit Dutta (left) and prestigious theatre director, Iqbal Khan (right) were APGRD Artists in Residence during the second week of January 2016, leading an intense week of workshopping a new play set during the Trojan War.

Iqbal and Shomit shared their expertise and worked with students from both Oxford University's Classical Drama Society (OUCDS) and the Oxford University Drama Society (OUDS) on a new play called The Changing of the Guard. The play refigured aspects of Homer, Aeschylus, Sophocles, and Euripides.

After only one intensive week of rehearsals, a full performance of the play was mounted on Wednesday 13 January in Keble College's O'Reilly Theatre.
