Prose translastions of Aeschylus' seven extant tragedies and of fragments (Prométhée Délivré, Prométhée allumeur de feu, Les Edoniens, Les Rongeurs d'os, Les Myrmidons, Les Phrygiens, Le Jugement des armes, Memnon, Niobé, OEdipe, La Thébaïde, Les Etnéennes, Les Danaïdes, Les Chasseresses, Ixion and Philoctète, finishing with a section called 'fragments divers'). The last section of the book, called 'Imitations et rapprochements', quotes passages imitated from Aeschylus in a variety of works from the 17th century onward.
