APGRD Notes
Ted Shawn's solo debut. "The two-hour program included a mix of his Spanish, Native American, and Greek dances, plus the premiere of Prometheus Bound"; when Shawn took the program on tour to other cities, he removed Prometheus (and Bull God) (Scolieri, Paul A. Ted Shawn : His Life, Writings, and Dances. New York: Oxford University Press, 2020) p.249, p.252. The Prometheus was choreographed to composer Alexander Scriabin's "Prometheus: Poem of Fire". A later-filmed version of Shawn's Prometheus exists (see ID 6193).
