APGRD Notes
This play is also cited under the titles Dikaioi and Synthokoi. It is unknown when this play was produced. The date range given here is the earliest and last known dates for Phrynichus competing. If the performance took place before 500 BC then it is not certain that the venue was the theatre of Dionysus - the earliest signs of steepening the slopes for the theatre are dated to 500 BC (see Csapo & Slater, The Context of Ancient Drama, I. 148, p. 79).
