Edith Hall

Edith Hall FBA is Professor of Classics at the University of Durham. She was previously Professor of Classics at King's College London (2012-2021), Research Professor in Classics, English and Drama & Theatre at Royal Holloway University of London (2006-2012), Leverhulme Chair of Greek Cultural History at Durham University (2001-2006), and Tutorial Fellow at Somerville College, Oxford (1995-2001). She won the Erasmus Medal of the European Academy in 2015 and has been awarded Honorary Doctorates from Athens and Durham Universities. Edith co-founded the APGRD with Oliver Taplin in 1996.
