It is seriously doubted that Euripides wrote the Rhesus, see TrGF 5.2, 60 Rhesus, p 642-4. If he did, then we do not know when this play was produced. The date range for performance given here is arbitrary, and is based on the last ten-years that Euripides was competing in Athens. The performance venue and location is not certain, but it is assumed here that this play would have been performed in Athens.
