We do not know when this play was first produced. The date range given here is based on Sophocles' first competition (Mar. Par) and his last (Life of Euripides 2). It is assumed here that the play would have been performed in Athens. It has been suggested that this play may have been the same as Nausicaa, or that it was a satyr drama.
