It is not known when this play was produced. The date range for performance given here is between the year of his first competition (acc. to Suda) and his death (Marm. Par.). It is assumed here that this play would have been produced in Athens. This play is cited as both Salaminoi (Men of Salamis) and Salaminai (Women of Salamis). It probably formed a trilogy with Hoplon crisis (Award of the Arms) and Thracian Women.
