It is not know when this play was produced. The date range given here takes as its parameters the earliest date that Achaeus could have first competed in the Dionysia (see Suda) and the date by which he seems to have died (he is not mentioned in Aristophanes' Frogs and was therefore probably dead by 405 BC).
