It is not known when Aristarchus produced this play. The Suda records that he wrote it in thanks for his recovery from illness. The date range given here takes as a start date the earliest known date that Aristarchus was competing and takes as its end point the death of Euripides, 407/6 BC (since the Suda records that Aristarchus was a contemporary of Euripides).
