Production notes:
The date for the performance of this play is not known. The date range takes its start date as the first Dionysia which Aristias competeed in (producing plays of his father Pratinas). The end date is the last Dionysia in which Sophocles competed - it is recorded that Aristias competed against Sophocles, therefore Sophocles' career offers a possible date range for the production of Aristias' plays.
