This play came fifth in the contest for comedy, the name of the author has been lost from the inscription. The winning play was Philippides’ Mustis, other new comic plays were by Nicostratus (title unknown), Ameinias’ Apoleipousa and a play called Pankratiast possibly by Theophilus. A revival of Anaxandrides’ Thesauros was also performed.
